These terms explain how you may use the Patriam Minecraft community, including our server, forums, wiki, map, statistics pages, store and community features. The operator is Patriam Studios, a general partnership in British Columbia, Canada. Contact us at contact@patriamstudios.com.

1. Joining and using Patriam

By registering, contributing or using our community services, you agree to these terms and the Server Rules. Read our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle personal information. Privacy consent is considered separately where the law requires it; these terms are not blanket consent to every use of your data.

Follow the terms and eligibility requirements of each outside service you actually use with Patriam. PayPal is optional and matters only if you use it for a purchase. You do not need a PayPal account or PayPal eligibility to play, use the forums or take part in the community.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, review these terms with a parent or guardian and obtain their permission where required. Where required, a parent or guardian must authorise a purchase and make it using a payment account they are entitled to use. Do not misrepresent your age or use someone else's payment method without permission.

2. Accounts and community conduct

Use accurate account and linked-identity information, keep login details secure, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Tell us about activity you did not authorise so we can investigate; we do not automatically treat an account compromise as your wrongdoing.

Follow the rules that apply to the place and time of the event. Do not harass people, expose private information, impersonate others, cheat, exploit vulnerabilities, evade a restriction or interfere with the security or operation of a service. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately through Cases or our contact email. Do not test against other people's accounts or data.

3. Moderation, restrictions and appeals

We may remove or limit content, restrict features, or suspend access when reasonably needed to enforce the rules, protect people, investigate abuse, comply with law or address a security incident. A restriction may apply to a particular service or to the community, according to the decision made. Paying for a product does not exempt an account from the rules.

The appeal rules explain available review routes, independence requirements and limits. Use Cases to challenge an action affecting you. A report about someone else may receive confirmation that the case is closed; it does not entitle the reporter to another person's sanctions, evidence or private staff notes.

A community exclusion may stop contributions while preserving the appeal route allowed by the applicable decision. A decision closing further moderation appeals does not prevent privacy requests, consumer claims, lawful complaints or contact about legal matters. Our email contact remains available for those purposes even when an account cannot use the site.

4. Your posts, creations and other contributions

You retain the rights you hold in your posts, wiki work, images, builds and other contributions. Share only material you have the right to share. Do not include another person's private information without an appropriate reason and lawful authority.

When you submit a public contribution after being presented with these terms, you grant Patriam Studios a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, edit, adapt and create derivative works from that contribution to operate, develop, document and promote Patriam and its community. This includes using public photographs, artwork, screenshots, videos, builds, posts and wiki work in our websites, social media, videos, advertisements and other promotional material, in any media or format. You keep ownership and remain free to use or license your work elsewhere.

For those purposes, we may crop, resize, excerpt, translate, reformat or combine contributions with other material and permit our service providers and production partners to do that work on our behalf. This permission covers only rights you hold or are authorised to grant. It does not make a private report, application, message or restricted staff document available for promotion, authorise a misleading claim that someone endorses Patriam, or remove privacy rights and any separate consent the law requires for an identifiable person's image or information.

The licence continues for existing community records, shared-world content and promotional material already created while the licence applied. You may contact us to request removal or to stop new promotional uses; we will consider the request and explain any practical or legal limits. We will obtain permission where needed before applying this expanded promotional licence to older contributions. Nothing in this section transfers your copyright or overrides rights the law does not allow you to waive.

Account closure and requests to remove contributions are assessed under the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Closing an account does not itself erase shared-world changes, replies, moderation evidence, backups or copies made by other people. We will explain material limits.

5. Availability, changes and virtual items

Patriam is an evolving community. Maintenance, bugs, outages, resets and changes to Minecraft or other providers can affect access, progress and content. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant planned changes. Keep your own copy of work you cannot afford to lose. We do not promise uninterrupted service or that a free feature will remain available indefinitely.

The Handbook distinguishes available features from plans and proposals. A proposed extra, poll option, draft product or guide description is not a promise that a feature can be purchased or used now. Check the current announcement and product page. In-game currency and ordinary gameplay items are not deposits, investments or money you can cash out through Patriam.

6. Purchases, support and payment disputes

Before buying, read the specific product description, price, currency, duration, eligibility conditions, delivery details and any recurring-payment terms shown at checkout. Those specific purchase terms form part of the transaction. The Store Guide explains our approach but does not override a checkout promise or your mandatory consumer rights. Do not buy an item described only as a proposal.

Unless applicable law or the specific purchase terms require a refund or another remedy, all purchases are final. Any additional, discretionary refund requires express, case-by-case approval from an Owner of the server. Approval in one case does not guarantee a refund in another case.

PayPal is a payment provider. Its own terms govern its payment service. Contact us with an order reference if an item is missing, not as described, charged incorrectly or otherwise faulty. We will investigate and provide a correction, replacement, refund or other remedy where required by law or the applicable purchase terms. Owner discretion does not limit those mandatory rights or remedies.

A refund or reversed payment may require removal of the associated unpaid benefit. Fraud or deliberate payment abuse may also be reviewed under the rules. Raising a good-faith billing complaint, using a payment provider's legitimate dispute process, or exercising a statutory cancellation or refund right is not itself misconduct. Nothing here requires you to give up those rights.

7. Voting, promotions and raffle entries

Follow the published eligibility, entry limits, dates and prize conditions for each promotion. Purchases do not buy raffle entries or improve the chances of winning. Do not submit fabricated votes or evade entry limits. Planet Minecraft voting may be listed, but those votes do not earn raffle entries because Planet Minecraft prohibits vote incentives.

8. Third-party services and Minecraft

Third-party platforms and linked sites operate under their own terms and privacy notices. We cannot control their availability or their handling of information you give them directly. Our responsibility for the providers we use to operate Patriam is described in the Privacy Policy.

Patriam is an independent community service. It is not an official Minecraft service and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft use remains subject to the Minecraft EULA and Minecraft Usage Guidelines.

9. Responsibility and your legal rights

We will take reasonable care in operating the services. Online services carry risks, and other users are responsible for their own contributions. Please give us an opportunity to investigate a problem and limit further harm. These terms do not exclude responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude, remove mandatory warranties, or require you to indemnify us for everything that happens on the service.

British Columbia law and applicable Canadian federal law govern these terms, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. This does not require a consumer to give up a court, regulator, remedy or dispute process that applicable law makes available. If one term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent lawful.

10. Changes and contact

Patriam Studios may update these terms at any time. We will post the updated terms with a new date and identify when they take effect. Routine updates take effect when posted unless a later date is stated. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes through the site or another appropriate channel, except where an urgent legal or security change needs to take effect sooner; in that case, we will give notice as soon as reasonably possible.

Where legally permitted, continuing to use the affected services after an update takes effect means you accept the updated terms. Where fresh express agreement or privacy consent is required by law, we will obtain it separately; posting an update or continued use does not replace that requirement. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights relating to earlier purchases or events. If you do not accept an update, stop using the affected services and contact us about account closure or any outstanding matter.
